Thomas Alexander, M.D.
Private Practice, Scottsdale, AZ

Dr. Thomas Alexander earned his M.D. degree and fulfilled his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri, Kansas City in 1998. Following a ten month Endocrinology Fellowship he joined a medical practice in Butler, Missouri and held various posts at Bates County Hospital including Chief of Staff, Medical Director of CCU, Medical Director of Respiratory Care, and Medical Director of Hospice. He has practiced both inpatient and outpatient medicine in addition to about 1500 hours of shifts at the Emergency Department. Dr. Alexander joined the clinic of Dr. Jonathan Wright in Seattle in 2004. He subsequently moved to the Phoenix area in 2007 where he opened his private practice and continues to work as a Hospitalist at Scottsdale Shea Hospital. He has lectured both to his peers and to the general public on HPA dysfunction, insulin resistance and diabetes and has particular interests in the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disorders, diabetes, HPA dysfunction, hormonal imbalance, and gastrointestinal disorders. Dr. Alexander is board certified in Internal Medicine.

Julie G. Allickson, Ph.D., MS, MT (ASCP)

Julie Allickson is the Vice President of Laboratory Operations and Research & Development at Cryo-Cell International, Inc., an AABB accredited and Florida-based family cord blood bank. Dr. Allickson is responsible for all technical aspects of operations to ensure a safe and high quality product produced in a cGMP-compliant cell processing environment. She is also responsible for all R & D activities associated with adult stem cells including the development work related to isolation of a unique stem cell harvested from menstrual blood. Dr. Allickson serves as a member of the Cryo-Cell Medical Scientific Advisory Board. Prior to this position, Dr. Allickson worked for the University of Miami – School of Medicine, Diabetes Research Institute directing the cGMP Cell Processing Facility, where she was responsible for Hematopoietic Cell Processing Operations, including processing of vertebral body marrow as well as other hematopoietic cell types. She was also responsible for the design and implementation of the state licensed Clinical Flow Cytometry Laboratory. Dr. Allickson was the lead in Regulatory Affairs for the cell processing laboratory of Islet and Hematopoietic Cell products which included oversight of all investigational new drugs and all external regulations. Prior to that she worked for the American Red Cross managing the Hematopoietic Cell Processing and Platelet Serology Laboratory. During her tenure there she served as a member of the National Stem Cell Task Force and participated in the preparation of national protocols developed for hematopoietic cell processing laboratories. Dr. Allickson was part of the team to perform the very first bone marrow transplant at the University of Miami in 1990. She has 22 years of experience in cellular therapy and cell processing, is board-certified as a Medical Technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and is licensed in the State of Florida in all areas of the Clinical Laboratory. She has a Doctorate in Health Sciences along with a Master’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences. Dr. Allickson was one of the founding members of the International Society of Cellular Therapy in 1992 and has been a member of the American Association of Blood Banks (AABB) for 23 years. She has presented at national and international meetings related to adult stem cells. She is an inspector for Net Cord FACT and for AABB and is currently vice-chair of the AABB Standards Committee for Cell Therapy Product Services.

Arden Anderson, D.O.

Dr. Arden Andersen was raised on a dairy farm in Michigan, received his undergraduate degree in Agriculture from the University of Arizona, taught vocational agriculture at the high school level, and founded and ran his own agricultural consulting business for eight years while completing a Ph.D. in Ag/Biophysics. Before going to osteopathic medical school at Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, CA., he did a FP tracking internship in Muskegon, MI, residency in Occupational Medicine at U. So. Florida, and completed a Masters of Science in Public Health. He has continued a dual profession of farm management/soil/plant nutritional consulting and general family medicine (private practice)/flight medicine (USAFR) traveling over 100,000 miles per year from 1998 to 2008; authored numerous books, manuals, course DVD’s and CD’s; taught in 8 countries and 2 languages; consulted in 11 countries; given professional testimony/presentations in 3 countries. Dr. Anderson is board eligible in Occupational Medicine; board certified in Public Health; boarded in Prolotherapy. He has a unique understanding of the direct correlation between soil health and human health and how to maximize outcome of both with appropriate nutritional and physiologic management.

David Audley

David Audley is a business development professional who holds degrees from Willamette University and Portland State University. He has been Vice President of Sales and Marketing at VizX Labs, Alumni Director at Willamette University, and CEO/Partner at TribalMind. Currently he is the Executive Director and Chief Executive of the International Cellular Medicine Society (ICMS), helping to advance the society's mission of promoting safe and effective stem cell therapies world wide.

Michale J. Barber, M.D.
CEO, Cenegenics South Carolina

Michale J. (Mickey) Barber, M.D., CEO/CMO of Cenegenics Carolinas is a board certified anesthesiologist and age management physician who graduated from The College of Charleston, completed medical school at The Medical University of South Carolina, did her residency at Tulane University, and finished her fellowship at Harvard. Dr. Barber offers an integrative approach to age management medicine while providing the patient with assessment of hormonal balance and overall health and disease risk. Her philosophy for successful aging includes maintaining energy, health and sexual vigor through shared responsibility of the patient-doctor team. After several years of affiliation with Cenegenics Medical Institute, the association grew into a partnership and the opening of Cenegenics Carolinas in April 2006. Dr. Barber is a Senior Partner with Cenegenics Medical Institute and was the first partner to open a Cenegenics center outside of the home office in Las Vegas. Still very active at the corporate level, Dr. Barber serves as the Physician Advisor for Cenegenics Living Online, is the Medical Editor of the Cenegenics Pharmacy Newsletter and is also the Medical Director of the Cenegenics Education and Research Foundation’s Medical Library.

Susan Barrett, R PA-C

Susan Barrett graduated from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Biology. After graduating, she moved to New York City where she worked in the pharmaceutical industry, in medical education, prior to commencing Physician Assistant training. Susan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to working at ComiteMD, Susan practiced as a Physician Assistant in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. Julian Blumenfeld, M.D.

With over 20 years of experience in medical practice, academics, industry and consulting, Dr. Blumenfeld provides unusual expertise and insight. He served as Chief Medical Officer of a nutraceutical company, overseeing clinical research, coordinating academic partnerships and determining grant awards. Dr. Blumenfeld coauthored several papers on the role and efficacy of bioflavonoids in humans. As founder of a non-profit continuing health professional educational institute, Dr. Blumenfeld developed CME/CE nutrition and nutraceutical curricula and moderated courses for health professionals throughout the U.S. Dr. Blumenfeld formerly practiced allergy/clinical immunology for over 10 years, including serving as chairman of the department for a multi-specialty clinic in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Anna Cabeca is board certified in Gynecology & Obstetrics and Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine, with an integrative medicine practice in Georgia. Christopher J. Centeno, M.D.

Christopher J. Centeno, M.D. is an international expert and specialist in regenerative medicine and the clinical use of mesenchymal stem cells in orthopedics. He is board certified in physical medicine as well as rehabilitation and in pain management through the American Board of Anesthesia. Dr. Centeno is one of the few physicians in the world with extensive experience in the culture expansion of and clinical use of adult stem cells to treat orthopedic injuries. He is a founding member of the International Cellular Medicine Society as well as the Spinal Injury Foundation. His clinic incorporates a variety of revolutionary pain management techniques to bring its broad patient base relief and results. Elaine Chin, M.D., MBA

L. Stephen Coles, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Coles has been involved in various aspects of Age Management Medicine for over 40 years. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, his Master's Degree in Mathematics from The Carnegie Institute of Technology, and his Ph.D. in Systems and Communications Sciences from Carnegie-Mellon University. After attending medical school at Stanford University, he completed his Clinical Internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Coles has taught at a number of well-known universities throughout the country, including Stanford, UC Berkeley, University of Miami, University of Maryland, UCLA, USC, Cal Tech, and UCSD. Dr. Coles is also the Director of the Los Angeles Gerontology Research Group, which he and three other scientists co-founded in the fall of 1990. The Group currently meets on a monthly basis at the UCLA Medical School to hear scientific experts present the latest information on either theoretical or clinical aspects of Age Management Medicine. Over the years the LA-GRG has grown to over 120 members with more than half having advanced degrees (M.D.'s and Ph.D.'s). Most recently Dr. Coles was a founding member and named Director of the Supercentenarian Research Foundation.

Kristin Comella

Ms. Comella has over 12 years experience in corporate entities with expertise in regenerative medicine, training and education, research, product development, and senior management. Ms. Comella has been a member of the Bioheart Inc. senior management team since 2004 and is currently serving as the Chief Scientific Officer. Bioheart is a publically traded company focusing on the discovery, development and commercialization of autologous cell therapies for the treatment of chronic and acute heart damage and peripheral vascular disease. Ms. Comella was appointed as Bioheart’s Vice President of R&D and Corporate Development in December 2008. Since joining Bioheart in September 2004, she has played a major role in managing the product development, manufacturing and quality systems. In addition, Ms. Comella is currently and actively serving on multiple boards in the stem cell arena. She is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Stemlogix, LLC and Chief Scientific Officer of the Ageless Regenerative Institute. The Ageless and Stemlogix Programs involve education, training, technology and support in delivering regenerative medicine to clinicians and veterinarians. Ms. Comella has over ten years of cell culturing experience including building and managing the stem cell laboratory at Tulane University's Center for Gene Therapy. She also developed stem cell therapies for osteoarthritis at Osiris Therapeutics. Derrick M. DeSilva, Jr., M.D.

Dr. DeSilva is a practicing Internist at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, NJ. As an adjunct professor at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ, he has lectured on various topics in medicine, nationally and internationally, and is an avid member of The American Medical Association, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, and Society of Internal Medicine, as well as president of the American Nutraceutical Association and vice president of Medical Spa Professional Alliance. Dr. DeSilva has authored and published Coping with Lyme Disease and Ask the Doctor. He has his own radio talk show, "Ask the Doctor" which airs on WCTC Radio in New Jersey (1450 AM), as well as his own television show, "Your Natural Health" on News 12 New Jersey, and a monthly column, "Ask Dr. DeSilva" in the e-Journal of Age Management Medicine. He has also attained national television exposure by hosting medical segments on CNN and appearing as a guest on numerous programs, including ABC Night Line. James F. Devanney, M.D.

Dr. Devanney is a full time practicing urologist in northwest Connecticut, and in fact lives in the very town where he was raised on a farm with eight siblings. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Trinity College, he graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in 1990, then completed his urology residency, and was awarded the Wyker teaching prize, at the University of Virginia under Dr. Jay Y. Gillenwater. From Dr. Gillenwater (who was during his tenure the president of the American Urologic Association, chief editor of The Journal of Urology and chief editor for the textbook Adult & Pediatric Urology) Dr. Devanney learned the need for attention to literature and critical thinking. Since completing his urology residency in 1995, Dr. Devanney has had a keen awareness of Androgen Deprivation Therapy and its powerful effect on men with advanced prostate cancer, rivaled only by the collateral effects on the metabolic systems of the man. As those consequences became more defined as a source of the metabolic syndrome, it soon became apparent to Dr. Devanney that deficiencies in testosterone may contribute to a variety of age associated pathologies: muscle wasting, visceral fat deposition, osteoporosis, atherosclerosis and the overall metabolic syndrome.  

Lynn Edlen-Nezin, Ph.D.

Lynn Edlen-Nezin, Ph.D., is a senior strategic planner for DraftFCB Healthcare, and an adjunct professor at Hunter College. She is a graduate of the doctoral program in clinical health psychology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and completed her internship at the Obesity Research Center at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center. Dr. Edlen-Nezin is an American College of Sports Medicine certified personal trainer, and completed four NYC Marathons as a racewalker. She is the co-author of Great Food, Great Sex: The Three Food Factors for Sexual Fitness (Fried & Edlen-Nezin, Ballantine Books, 2006). 

Jorge D. Flechas, M.D.

Dr. Jorge D. Flechas is the Medical Director of Flechas Family Practice in Hendersonville, NC, specializing in hormonal therapy for treatment of Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome (CFIDS) since the late 1980s. He also specializes in Iodine Therapy for Hypothyroidism and Fibrocystic Breast Disease. Dr. Flechas was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, majored in Physics at Southern Missionary College in Tennessee, and achieved his Doctorate in Medicine in 1977 and Master's in Public Health in 1979 from Loma Linda University in California. He is licensed to practice in North Carolina, has his boards in Family Practice by the American Board of Family Practice, and is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences and the American College of Nutrition. Dr. Flechas is a nationally known speaker on the diagnosis and successful treatment of Fibromyalgia, one of the 10 most frequently misdiagnosed syndromes in North America today. Dr. Flechas is considered to have broken a paradigm in effectively treating Fibromyalgia pain without the use of anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory, or narcotic medications. His treatment involves the use of Nitroglycerine to increase Nitric Oxide, a natural pain killer found in the body. He has recently found the use of essential oils from plants to decrease the pain of FMS. 

Scott Fogle, N.D.

Dr. Scott Fogle graduated with academic honors from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon. His thesis Mercury Toxicity and Assessment won the Dean’s Thesis Award. Dr. Fogle has lectured on many aspects of medicine ranging from mercury toxicity, sleeping disorders, ocular pathologies, hypertension, thyroid, and Phase I & II detoxification pathways, mitochondrial dysfunction, Vitamin D, bio-identical hormones, cardiovascular health, atherosclerosis, advanced blood testing for health. He was also a clinical faculty member at NCNM and enjoyed a private practice in Portland. Currently Dr. Fogle is the Director of Clinical Information and Laboratory Services at Life Extension where he oversees the quality and consistency of the scientific/medical information for 70+ health advisors (doctors, nurses, nutritionist, etc.) and is in charge of its laboratory department that offers extensive online blood testing services. 

Vincent Giampapa, M.D.

Dr. Giampapa received his M.D. from Mt. Sinai Medical School, New York and continued his medical training in aesthetic plastic surgery. Upon becoming a certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Giampapa completed a year of microsurgery and hand fellowship at New York University Medical Center, and was one of the first Board Certified anti-aging aesthetic plastic surgeons in the world. He has served as Research Fellow for Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, New York and as Director of Microsurgery and Re-plantation Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Founding Member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and served as President of the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine. Dr. Giampapa is well known in the United States, Latin America and Europe where he lectures regularly and is recognized as an innovator in new cosmetic and surgical techniques and surgical instrumentation. He has published numerous book chapters and articles in national and international plastic surgical, genetic engineering and academic journals and other research publications, including Annals of Plastic Surgery, Journal of Plastic Reconstructive Surgery and Journal of Reconstructive Microsurgery. Dr. Giampapa has been awarded over a dozen U.S. patents for unique cell culture delivery techniques as well as new drug delivery systems, and surgical instrument designs. He also served as a consultant for NASA in reference to the robotic arm of the space shuttle. Dr. Giampapa has been featured in many radio and television programs and articles in national and international magazines concerning cosmetic surgery and new surgical techniques.

Jennifer R. Hankins, M.S., R PA-C

Jennifer Hankins graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in 2002 with a degree in Chemistry & Mathematics. With a great interest in the field of medicine, Jennifer attended Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences and received her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2009. Prior to working at ComiteMD, Jennifer worked in internal medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in Manhattan. In September 2011 she joined ComiteMD, where she is an active member of the Clinical Team.

Dr. Kadish is the president of World Stem Cells, a patient management firm focused on stem cell therapeutics, where he has been pivotal in designing unique protocols and integrating a divergent group of both laboratory services and techniques for the scientific study of stem cells. Dr. Warren Sherman earned his Bachelor of Science (Life Sciences) at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Medical Doctorate at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center. Following an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Rochester, he spent 3 years as a Fellow in Cardiovascular Diseases at the Oregon Health Sciences University, where many of the cardiac procedures that form the foundation of modern interventional cardiology originated. 
In 1983, Dr. Sherman moved to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York to investigate new techniques for treating patients with acute myocardial infarction. It was at that time that the first thrombolytics (clot dissolving medications) were being evaluated in patients. 
In 1989 he shifted gears to a fully clinical role, and created the Interventional Cardiology Program at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. During his 12 years as Director of the Division of Interventional Cardiology, the program emerged as one of the foremost in the Northeast, recognized for its quality of comprehensive care and training program in cardiovascular diseases. Due to his deepening interest in regenerative techniques, Dr. Sherman pioneered a technique for injecting stem cells into the heart. In Rotterdam in May 2001 he performed the first catheter-based injection of adult stem cells into the heart of a patient with a heart failure due to a previous heart attack. This technique was then brought to the U.S., where he performed a similar procedure at Mount Sinai Hospital in April 2003. Presently, as Director of Cell Therapy at Mount Sinai Hospital, Dr. Sherman is the Principal Investigator of a multicenter clinical study of autologous skeletal myoblast injections for patients with congestive heart failure, and lead investigator on numerous translational studies. Dr. Paul D. Thompson is a board-certified urologist and a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Medical Association, Missouri Medical Society and American Urology Association. After earning an undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri at Kansas City, he graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City Medical School in 1981. Seven years later, he completed a residency in urology at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. In 1988, Dr. Thompson established a private urology practice in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, which he maintained until 2007. He also was a cofounder and board member of the U.S. Medical Development Service Company, designed to serve physicians in lithotripsy, radiation treatment centers and hospitals. Dr. Ariel Luksenburg Wiernik is a medical doctor on the Faculty of Medicine at the University of the Republic, Montevideo, Uruguay. He specializes in Gynecology and Obstetrics and Cosmetic Gynecology with a focus on therapy using platelet rich plasma. He is a member of the Gynecological Society of Uruguay, the International Cellular Medicine Society and the Mexican College of Cosmetic Gynecology. Dr. Wiernik is also Chairman of GyCO and lives and works in Uruguay.

Dr. Robert D. Willix, Jr., is a board certified cardiac surgeon, who pioneered the first open heart surgery program in South Dakota. He has been a practicing physician since 1969 and also serves as Associate Professor of Surgery at South Dakota Medical School. As CEO/CMO of Cenegenics Medical Institute, Boca Raton, Dr. Willix specializes in Age Management and Preventive Medicine. After graduating from Boston College, Dr. Willix engaged in medical research at Seton Hall University. He did his M.D./Ph.D. program in Columbia, MO at the University of Missouri Medical School and earned his Medical Degree from the University of Missouri Medical School. Dr. Willix completed his Surgery Internship, General Surgery and Cardiovascular Surgery study at the University of Michigan Medical School. In 1975 he became Board Certified in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery. Dr. Willix served as an Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of South Dakota Medical School and was recruited to serve as director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation and Human Performance program in Florida for the North Broward Hospital District. He was Founder and Director of the Willix Health Institute, dedicated to preventive and sports medicine. He is a former team leader for the U.S. Olympic Committee and is one of 300 physicians in the U.S. who is trained in Pulse Diagnosis and Ayurvedic Medicine. While in private practice Dr. Willix was awarded the Kaul Foundation Award for Excellence for his international newsletter Health and Longevity as well outstanding achievement as a medical doctor in the field of Preventive Medicine. He is a member of the Board of the Age Management Medicine Group, and member of TEC-Chief Executives Working Together. Dr. Willix is dedicated to changing the paradigm of medicine from a disease-oriented to health-oriented system. He became certified in Age Management Medicine, AMA/PRA Level 4 Classification, Parts 1 & 2, and became a Cenegenics affiliate in 1997; he opened the Boca Raton Center in 2007. Dr. Willix has completed 14 marathons, over 100 triathlons and the 1984 Ironman in Kona, Hawaii. An accomplished author of five books and hundreds of articles, Dr. Willix has traveled around the country as a sought-after speaker and is a leader in the field of nutrition, sports and preventive medicine.
