Angeli Maun Akey, M.D., FACP, ABAARM

Angeli  Maun Akey, M.D., FACP is a  primary care Internal Medicine physician in Gainesville, FL. She is the medical director and owner of North Florida Internal Medicine, PA and Ageless Medical Solutions, LLC. Dr. Akey graduated from the University Of Florida College Of Medicine with honors in 1993. She completed her post-graduate residency in internal medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital in 1996 and a chief medical residency at the Hospital of St. Raphael, a Yale affiliated institution in 1997. She also served as a Clinical Instructor of Medicine at Yale Medical School. Dr. Akey was recruited to start a Harvard affiliated preventative medicine program in Florida; and in 1997, she became the founding medical director of the Palm Beach Institute of Preventative Medicine. Currently, she holds an appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University Of Florida College Of Medicine. Dr. Akey is Board-Certified through the American Board of Internal Medicine, National Board of Medical Examiners, and the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine. She holds professional memberships in America College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and the Florida Medical Association.
 
Michale J. Barber, M.D.

Dr. Mickey Barber is a board certified anesthesiologist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and former assistant professor at Tulane University. Dr. Barber is also certified in Age Management Medicine, having completed the Physician Training in Age Management Medicine jointly sponsored by the Cenegenics Medical Institute and The Foundation for Care Management. After earning a medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, she completed her residency (anesthesiology) and internship (general surgery) at Tulane University Medical Center as well as a fellowship in obstetrical anesthesia. Committed to excellence, Dr. Barber has received several awards for clinical performance and teaching skills, such as Outstanding Faculty of the Year (Tulane University), Robert D. J. Kurt Bivens, M.D.

Dr. Bivens received his M.D. from the University of Florida School of Medicine, and was Chief Resident in General Surgery at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY and a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellow at the University of California, San Diego. He has dedicated his life to the enhancement of the human form, working to bring beauty and balance to life—both personally as an artist and musician, and professionally as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Bivens has been instrumental in the development of liposuction and breast implant surgery and has perfected his abilities through his work with the country’s leading experts in liposuction and body contouring. Richard P. Brown, M.D.

Dr. Richard Brown, Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University, graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (1977), gives over 200 lectures and courses every year. Since 1998, Dr. Brown has taught full-day courses on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) for the American Psychiatric Association and other conferences. He coauthored over 90 scientific articles, books and chapters including, Stop Depression Now (1999), The Rhodiola Revolution (2004), “Complementary and Alternative Treatments in Psychiatry,” in Psychiatry (Wiley & Sons 2003, 2007); “Alternative Treatments in Brain Injury” in Neuropsychiatry of Traumatic Brain Injury (American Psychiatric Press 2004 and 2009). His most recent book, How to Use Herbs, Nutrients, and Yoga in Mental Health Care (W.W. Norton 2009), includes chapters on integrative treatments for people suffering from fatigue, stress, insomnia, anxiety, PTSD, depression, cognitive dysfunction, schizophrenia, addictions, and medication side effects. W.W. Norton will publish Non-drug Treatments for ADHD: New Options for Kids, Adults, and Clinicians, by Dr. Brown and Dr. Patricia Gerbarg, in Jan 2012.  Dr. Brown developed a comprehensive neurophysiological theory of the effects of yoga breathing on the mind and body, particularly its benefits in anxiety, depression, and PTSD. He is a certified teacher of Aikido (4th Dan) yoga, Qi Gong, and Open Focus Meditation. Dr. Brown provides Breath~Body~Mind© workshops for health care professionals, yoga teachers, research studies, people with medical illnesses such as cancer, and the general public. Dr. Anna Cabeca is board certified in Gynecology & Obstetrics and Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine with an integrative medicine practice in Georgia. Kwang Yul Cha, M.D.

Dr. Kwang Yul Cha is certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology by the College of Medicine, Yonsei University-Board. He is the president of Infertility Medical Center, CHA General Hospital, Chancellor of the College of Medicine, Pochon CHA University and Professor of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, College of Medicine, Columbia University. Dr. Cha has published over 100 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. He is the Founder and Chancellor of CHA Health Systems, a global healthcare enterprise, which owns and operates Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, the largest privately owned hospital in Los Angeles County, along with 12 general hospitals throughout Korea, as well as two fertility treatment and age management research centers in Korea and the United States. L. Stephen Coles, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Coles has been involved in various aspects of Age Management Medicine for over 40 years. He received his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, his Masters Degree in Mathematics from The Carnegie Institute of Technology, and his Ph.D. in Systems and Communications Sciences from Carnegie-Mellon University. After attending medical school at Stanford University, he completed his Clinical Internship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Coles has taught at a number of well-known universities throughout the country, including Stanford, UC Berkeley, University of Miami, University of Maryland, UCLA, USC, Cal Tech, and UCSD. Dr. Coles is also the Director of the Los Angeles Gerontology Research Group, which he and three other scientists co-founded in the fall of 1990. The Group currently meets on a monthly basis at the UCLA Medical School to hear scientific experts present the latest information on either theoretical or clinical aspects of Age Management Medicine. Over the years the LA-GRG has grown to over 120 members with more than half having advanced degrees (M.D.'s and Ph.D.'s). Most recently Dr. Coles was a founding member and named Director of the Supercentenarian Research Foundation.
 
Florence Comite, M.D.

Florence Comite, M.D. has been a leader in the evolution of wellness-based health care and preventive medicine. Dr. Comite’s unique approach to healthcare allows for customized health strategies. She primarily directs her practice to Age Management Medicine, including bioidentical hormonal therapy, growth hormone, men’s and women’s health, andropause and menopause, sexual function and life-style issues. Dr. Comite has been a leader in Women’s Health for over 12 years. She defined new approaches to optimize health for women at mid-life and beyond. Dr. Comite directs her clinical practice to the prevention of disorders related to aging such as osteoporosis, heart disease and cancer. Dr. Comite has pioneered an integrated approach to healthcare delivery with an emphasis on customized health strategies for women and men. Her clinical program is based upon an individualized, in-depth assessment and risk-benefit analysis that catalyzes conventional, complementary, and life-style choices to attain, sustain and maintain well-being. In 1976, Dr. Comite graduated from Yale University School of Medicine with awards for original research, and continued at Yale with a residency in Medicine. She then completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology (Medicine, Gynecology and Pediatrics) at the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). She remained at NIH as a Senior Clinical Associate until 1984 and joined the Yale faculty in 1985. In 1988, Dr. Comite founded and directed, until 1998, Women’s Health at Yale as an Associate Professor in Endocrinology, Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, and in Reproductive Endocrinology, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. From 1994 to 1995, Dr. Comite was a Senior Clinical and Research Advisor to the NIH Offices of Alternative Medicine (OAM) and Research in Women’s Health (ORWH).  
 
John Crisler, D.O.

“Dr. John” Crisler is an osteopathic physician located in Lansing, MI. Dr. Crisler got his start trying to protect athletes from the ravages of steroid use. He has distinguished himself in the field of Age Management Medicine by developing new, advanced treatment protocols for Testosterone Replacement Therapy and Growth Hormone Replacement Therapy which have changed the way physicians all over the world treat their patients. Commanding a substantial Internet following, Dr. Crisler founded the first Internet Forum on HRT and GHRT for men moderated by a physician, and currently maintains the most advanced message board forum of its kind. In fact, he has donated more time answering questions pro bono than any doctor in the history of the Internet. Dr. Crisler is a strong advocate for TRT and GHRT, which he describes as “the most significant advancements in men’s health in history”. His ethical standards led to a feature article in Playboy in April, 2007. Dr. Crisler has proudly become a mainstay at medical conferences in our field, which he has co-hosted and moderated across the country, and around the world. “Dr. John” enjoys training fellow physicians, as well as the public, and is known as an informative, dynamic and highly entertaining speaker.
 
Derrick M. DeSilva, Jr., M.D.

Dr. DeSilva is a practicing Internist at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, NJ. As an adjunct professor at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ, he has lectured on various topics in medicine, nationally and internationally, and is an avid member of The American Medical Association, American Diabetes Association, American Heart Association, and Society of Internal Medicine, as well as president of the American Nutraceutical Association and vice president of Medical Spa Professional Alliance. Dr. DeSilva has authored and published "Coping with Lyme Disease" and "Ask the Doctor." He has his own radio talk show, "Ask the Doctor" which airs on WCTC Radio in New Jersey (1450 AM), as well as his own television show, "Your Natural Health" on News 12 New Jersey, and a monthly column, "Ask Dr. DeSilva" in the e-Journal of Age Management Medicine. Earl H. Eye, M.D., FACCP

Dr. Earl Eye graduated magna cum laude from West Virginia University and completed his training at the University of Florida-Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. He has been practicing medicine for 40 years in Jacksonville. Dr. Eye is board certified in Internal Medicine, Critical Care, Infectious Diseases, and Pulmonary Medicine, and is AMA certified in Age-Management Medicine. He has particular expertise in hormone optimization, nutraceuticals and proper dietary habits. Disillusioned with constantly treating younger, critically-ill patients in the ICU, whose problems could have been prevented, Dr. Eye transitioned from traditional medicine to proactive medicine in 2000. In 2001 he opened a health and wellness practice which focused on correcting nutritional imbalances in his patients. In 2005, Dr. Eye joined the Cenegenics family as an affiliate, and in 2010 became a Cenegenics partner. Mitchell S. Fuerst, Esq.

Mitchell S. Fuerst received his B.S.B.A. from American University in 1975, his Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1978 and was a Member of the University of Miami Law Review from 1977-1978. He was an adjunct professor at the University of Miami School of Law, Master in Taxation Program, from 1986 to 1990. Mr. Fuerst is a member of the Dade County, Federal and American Bar Associations (Member, Sections of Taxation, Litigation); The Florida Bar, Tax Litigation Association of South Florida; Florida Academy of Trial Lawyers; and The Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Andrea M. Girman, M.D., MPH

Dr. Andrea Girman is a graduate of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, pediatric residency program and Bloomberg School of Public Health. In 2002, she completed fellowship training in Integrative Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center’s Continuum Center for Health and Healing in New York. Prior to joining Genova Diagnostics in October 2008 as the Director of Medical Education, Dr. Girman was an active clinician and consultant. She is co-author of Mosby’s Handbook of Herbs and Supplements and their Therapeutic Uses and contributor to Integrative Medicine: Principles for Practice and the forthcoming version of The Textbook of Natural Medicine.
 
Rebecca L. Glaser, M.D., FACS

Dr. Rebecca Glaser retired from breast cancer surgery in April of 2004 and is currently involved in research on testosterone therapy by pellet implant, its impact on men and women’s health and breast cancer prevention. Dr. Glaser is an Assistant Clinical Professor, Wright State University, Boonshoft School of Medicine, Department of Surgery and fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She has published numerous articles in high impact journals including ‘Annals of Surgery’, ‘Journal of Clinical Oncology’, ‘BMC Cancer’, and ‘Maturitas’.
 
Ronald W. Hanson, M.D.
Sports Medicine Specialist, Centeno-Schultz Clinic, Broomfield, CO
Dr. Hanson is a Sports Medicine specialist with extensive experience performing regenerative medicine procedures. Dr Hanson lectures and trains physicians in the U.S. and around the world to use musculoskeletal (MSK) ultrasound for regenerative orthopedic procedures. He is actively involved with sports medicine societies and the International Cellular Medicine Society to develop training programs, guidelines and curricula that promote excellence in both regenerative medicine and MSK ultrasound. Dr. Hanson combines many approaches to guide a patient toward healing and restoring function. At the Centeno-Schultz Clinic, this translates into using (and developing) the most advanced regenerative platelet and stem cell therapies in the U.S. combined with improving structure, alignment, nerve function, stability and pain. He is also at the forefront nationally in developing minimally invasive nerve, tendon, ligament and bone spur removal procedures using MSK ultrasound. Dr. Hanson completed his training and practiced in Minnesota and Utah, where he had developed a sports, regenerative medicine and MSK ultrasound practice before joining the Centeno-Schultz Clinic in early 2010. He is privileged to have the companionship of his wife, Jodi, and their daughters Aly and Madi.
 
Raymond Ishman, M.D.

Dr. Ishman went to college at the University of Pittsburgh receiving his undergraduate degree in biochemistry, then received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Univerisity in Philadelphia.  He completed a Family Medicine Residency at Geisinger Medical Center, then became Board Certified in Family Medicine. Later he became Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and practiced Emergency Medicine for 20 years before returning to primary care. Dr. Ishman began his involvement with Cenegenics a little over 5 years ago and trained in Age Management Medicine. While starting his Age Management practice, Dr. Ishman worked as an Urgent Care physician and was president of the AtlantiCare Physicians’ Group serving in a variety of administrative duties. He is a current member of the Age Management Medicine Group. Dr. Ishman started his original Cenegenics Practice in 2006, then moved to the Philadelphia area to open Cenegenics Philadelphia in January of 2010. 
 
V. R. Karuparthy, M.D.

Dr. Karuparthy is a board certified anesthesiologist and double board certified interventional pain management specialist. He is also certified in medical acupuncture. He is well trained in multiple alternative modalities of yoga Ayurveda for effective integration. After serving as faculty at the University of Iowa Carver School of Medicine, he founded Integrative Pain Centers of America, with a unique integration that delivers the results.
 
Jeffrey Park Leake, M.D, ISSA-CPT

Jeffrey Leake, M.D. is a senior physician in clinical practice at the Cenegenics Medical Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he specializes in age management medicine and also serves in the capacity of Course Director for Physician Training and Certification in Age Management Medicine. He completed his undergraduate degree at the Ohio State University with a major in molecular genetics. He went on to do research in oxalate metabolism in the Department of Physiological Chemistry at OSU and teach biochemistry to first-year medical students at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He received his Doctor of Medicine at OSU, and entered an anesthesiology residency at the Ohio State University Hospitals, becoming chief resident and later accepting a faculty appointment as a clinical instructor in anesthesiology. After completing his board certification in anesthesiology, he spent 27 years as a practicing anesthesiologist at Harrison Medical Center in Washington, becoming the first Director of Surgical Services there. In 2009, Dr. Leake transitioned from a career in anesthesiology to join the Cenegenics Medical Institute as a clinical physician in age management. His interest in exercise and fitness developed naturally from his athletic career while at OSU, and he is certified by the International Sports Sciences Association as a personal trainer. His personal fitness regime includes weight training, plyometrics, yoga, sprint interval training and Krav Maga.
 
Edwin N. Lee, M.D., FACE

Dr. Edwin Lee is triple board certified in Endocrinology, Internal Medicine and in Anti Aging, and practices Integrative Age Management in Orlando, Florida. He has recently published the book, Feel Good Look Younger (Reversing Tiredness through Hormonal Balance). Dr. Lee is a national speaker and teaches other physicians and other health professionals about the management of diabetes and optimizing health. He has been featured on radio and on television. His passion is healthy living and he practices what he preaches. Dr. Lee has completed an ironman triathlon, has run numerous marathons, and also has summited several mountains, including Mount Fuji. Dr. Edwin Lee resides in Orlando with his wife and two young boys, whose soccer team he coaches.
 
Jeffry S. Life, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Life is a course co-director and faculty member for Cenegenics Education and Research Foundation (CERF). He is the founder and CEO of The Life Center of Healthy Aging, an affiliate of the Cenegenics Medical Institute in Las Vegas. Board-certified in family medicine, Dr. Life is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Iowa, he completed his residency in family medicine and internal medicine at West Virginia University.
