Joseph McWherter, M.D.
Chairman, Conference Planning Committee Age Management Medicine Group
Editor, e-Journal of Age Management Medicine
Age Management Medicine is in a unique position to offer patients the opportunity to feel better through appropriate medical interventions such as lifestyle modification including changes in diet and exercise and hormone modulation. What we find is that patients who feel better want to look better by taking the next step and receiving appropriate aesthetic treatments. Physicians who have established this professional medical rapport with patients and have been successful in improving their quality of life are in position to retain patients and offer them the office based aesthetic treatments that can substantially increase patient satisfaction with body and self and ultimately result in the growth of their practice.

Skin Nutrients for the Medical Spa Practice
Derrick M. DeSilva, Jr., M,D.

Attending Physician, Raritan Bay Medical Center
The skin is the largest organ in the human body. It is also the largest organ of elimination in the human body. It is, by far, one on the most used and abused organs. Healing the abuse of the skin must start from the inside. For many years we have only focused on “healing” the skin from the outside. True healing of this vital organ must focus on healing from the inside. The lecture will not only deal with the topical nutrients necessary for healthy skin, but will pay closer attention to the “healing nutrients” that must become part of our daily regiment for overall better health.

A Physicians Approach to Clinical Hydration of Human Skin
Janice Morales, D.O.
Family Practice Physician
Beauty is more than skin deep. Healthy, vibrant skin, and increased vitally are possible with a comprehensive, three point approach. The Human body’s outer skin layers are a direct reflection of the internal environment and nutritional balance. First, nourish and replace nutrients which have been lost in the diet. Second, consume water that is structurally equivalent to our cell membranes. Third, use skin care products that have been clinically proven to hydrate the skin. Our skin absorbs what we apply, and we need to be as careful with our skin as we are with the foods and supplements we consume. When we replace the nutrients, consume structurally correct water and use skin products with no preservatives, fillers, color or fragrances we hydrate the skin as well as the underlying tissue. Clinical success is measured by results. Learn how to perform this service and give your patients real results.

Steps to a Successful Skin Rejuvenation Program
James E. Fulton, Jr., M.D., Ph.D.
Associate Professor, University of Oradea, Romania Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery
Medical Consultant, Vivant Pharmaceuticals, LLC
The key to a successful Medical Spa program is patient education on the five steps of skin care. Whether the problem is acne in the adult women, hyperpigmention with melasma or the reduction in photoaging, the first step is free radical avoidance. If the client worships the sun or smokes the program will fail. The second step is daily skin care. Whether it is acne, blotchy brown or fine lines they all need a daily custom cleanser, toner and vitamin A conditioning lotion. The client visits the Spa every two weeks to accelerate their program with a progressive peel, microdermabrasion or light treatment. The fifth step maybe using a laser for skin abrasion or skin tightening. Daily skin care and several procedures a year keep the 29 and holding look. These steps will work well in conjunction with each other - don’t leave out a step.
